🔍 Finding Virtual Router (VR):

Go to Network > Virtual Routers in PAN-OS. Check which VR owns your egress interface.

🛡️ Checking Fortinet Edit Number:

Every static route in FortiGate needs a sequence number. To find yours:

1. GUI: Go to Network > Static Routes. Look at the sequence or count existing routes.
2. CLI: Run show router static. Look for the last edit <number> and use the next available one.
3. Tip: Using "edit 0" will automatically pick the next available index on many FortiOS versions.
